Questions people ask

Google Sheets or Excel: which should I use?

Either. Every formula, dropdown and chart works the same in both. Google Sheets is handy if you want to log things from your phone or share the file with a partner. Excel is great if you'd rather keep the file on your own computer. You get the same .xlsx file either way.

I'm on a Mac. Can I use Numbers?

The templates work best in Google Sheets (free in any browser) or Excel for Mac. Apple Numbers isn't supported: it changes some formulas and dropdowns when it opens the file.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Email us within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you. See the refund policy for the details.

Do I get updates?

Yes. If we fix or improve this version of a template, you can download the new file free, for life. We'll email buyers when an update is out.

Can you see my numbers?

No. Your data lives in your own file, on your computer or in your own Google Drive. Nothing is sent to us. We only see your name, email and order details from checkout. See the privacy policy.

Can my partner use it too?

Yes. The personal-use license covers you and your household. Share the file with your partner in Google Sheets or OneDrive and you'll both see the same numbers. Please don't resell or pass it around more widely.

Is this financial or tax advice?

No. The templates are educational tools that organize your own numbers. The rental tracker groups records into categories commonly used on Schedule E or Schedule C, but it doesn't decide anything for you. Check with a tax or financial professional before acting on the results.
